Enterprise Rent-A-Car & Green Chimneys' Clearpool Campus Team up in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

CARMEL, NY (February 4, 2016)- Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the Southern Hudson Valley and the Green Chimneys’ Clearpool Campus in Carmel, NY came together to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“To honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service, we worked with the Green Chimneys’ Clearpool Campus, to assist with their great efforts to provide environmental education to children in our communities,” said Kathleen Wolverton, human resources generalist for Enterprise in the Southern Hudson Valley. “Environmental education is essential for the continued care of our community, and our employees were excited to collaborate with such an important educational institution.”

On January 16, several Enterprise employees visited the Green Chimneys’ Clearpool Campus to paint an interior common room in one of the large cabins used to host students participating in their daily educational programs. Volunteers included Ryan Gilmour, Area Manager, Samantha Manicone, Manager Trainee, and Robert Dellero, Manager Trainee.

Green Chimneys provides residential, educational, clinical and recreational services for young adults. Founded in 1901 as a summer camp for disadvantaged inner-city children, the Green Chimneys’ Clearpool Campus provides environmental education and wildlife exploration programs year-round to more than 10,000 students from Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties, and New York City.
