ANTIQUE TRUCKS, TRACTORS AND CARS AT ANNUAL TILLY FOSTER FARM SHOW SEPT 15 & 16

Now in its fifth year, the Annual Putnam County Antique Machinery Association’s (PCAMA) show at Tilly Foster Farm has added a new feature for 2012 – classic cars. This event, highlighting the tools and equipment that were once part of everyday life on a typical farm, offers activities for the entire family.

Try your hand at shelling corn and pumping water. Imagine a 25 foot tall 1890’s water well rig. Then picture the muscle needed to drive this mechanical equipment hundreds of feet into the ground in search of water for your well. You
won’t need to go to the gym after these chores! Afterwards, curb your hunger with some pizza prepared in a wood-fired oven mounted to a 1952 Chevy Truck, tasty hot dogs and top it off with some ice cream.

In addition to the water well, the show features hit and miss engines, antique tractors, and an assortment of farming equipment. Learn how these devices were once used on traditional homes and farms. Visitors can also enjoy hayrides and pony rides, and view the rare and endangered Early American animals that make their home at Tilly Foster Farm.
