The Doansburg Chamber Ensemble will continue its 2012 season with performances by its string trio with flute. The program will be performed on Saturday, August 4th at 7 p.m. at St. Mary in the Highland's Episcopal Church at the intersection of Routes 9D and 301 in Cold Spring, New York, and on Sunday, August 5th at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2103 Route 6, just west of Brewster, New York. The Ensemble will feature flutist Christine Smith, violinist Brenda Vincent, violist Ina Litera, and cellist Matthew Goeke. Scheduled repertoire for this concert includes Mozart’s Quartet in C Major, Quartet No. 3 in D Major by A. Rolla, Mercadante’s Quartetto in A Major, and Ouartet in C minor Opus 22/2 by G. Battista Viotti.
These artists have been heard at major performance venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Lincoln Center. Their artistic musicianship has been heard on a broad range of recording labels, and they have performed as members of many noted orchestras and musical groups.
