Saturday Scribes at Studio Around the Corner

Saturday Scribes at the Studio- Meet and hear our featured author, Bob Baisley, and share your own poetry, fiction, and acoustic music in a monthly series in the Village of Brewster.  On the second Saturday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition presents an open mic and a published author.

In July: Bob Baisley is a retired high school teacher and administrator.  He is the author of the poetry collection American Collage. His work has appeared in annual chapbooks produced by The Putnam County Poets.  He holds multiple degrees from Manhattan College.  For twenty-two years he taught a popular Shakespeare elective to high school seniors.  He currently teaches Shakespeare to senior citizen groups.

Open mic signups begin at 7 p.m. with readings beginning at 7:15.  The featured artist begins at about 8 p.m.  The Studio Around the Corner is located at 67 Main Street, Brewster, New York, in the basement of Old Town Hall. For additional information contact series coordinator and host Lou Orfanella at saturdayscribes@gmail.com.
