Wine Tasting

Hi Everyone,

With the snow last week we weren’t able to have our tasting.  We’ve rescheduled for this Saturday, 1/28/12 from 2-7. we are going to feature 4 new wines to us, which you may not find around here.                                                                                                   The first three come from Italy:

* Fabula-Sangiovese Organic 2008. From Tuscany.  A clean organic red, with a fruity expression of Sangiovese grape, which is the same grape Chiantis are made from. A medium body with slight hints of cherries, blueberries, and almonds.

*  Vigne Vecchie- Primitivo 2008.   From Puglia.  The father of the Zinfandel , has a rich velvety sour cherry, red fruit and spice taste with a persistent finish, from very old vines. Which makes it our pick of the week.

*   Sannium- Montepulciano D'Abruzzo.  One of our specials of the week. This is an incredible Montepulciano for its price point. A full body with sweet tannins and a nice long finish.

And the fourth is from South Africa:

*  Olsen Pinotage 2007.  From Paarl.  A powerful expression of this grape with notes of bacon, leather and a smokey taste. A wine ready to enjoy and not to forget.

Look forward to seeing you and hearing your feedback.
