Cops Say Man Exposed Himself On The I-84 Exit Ramp

A Newtown CT man is in custody in Putnam County.

SOUTHEAST, NY – Drivers on the Exit 21 ramp from I-84 called police Sunday night to complain about someone exposing himself to passing motorists. New York State Police stopped a suspect and his car on Danbury Road at about 10 p.m.

Police said Leonardo M. Fregoso, 51, of Newtown, CT, was drunk. He also had .63 gram of cocaine. They also identified him as the suspect who had exposed himself on Exit 21.

He now faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Public Lewdness, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Exposure of a Person, a Violation.

Fregoso was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Justice Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. He is due to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on Nov. 16.
