Winning pitcher Alycia Feeney struck out five and allowed just three earned-runs for the No. 7 Bears in Brewster's 8-6 triumph in eight innings against host No. 2 Pelham Tuesday in the Section 1 Class A quarterfinals, according to Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
Feeney also hit the go-ahead two-run double with two on, and two out, in the top of the eighth.

Prophetic
Some may have been surprised by Brewster upsetting Pelham, but not MSG Varsity's Kevin Devaney Jr.
He predicted the Bears had the best chance of pulling off an upset in the Class A quarterfinals here in this story, citing the tough schedule they play that obviously has prepared them very well for postseason play.
Final Four
The win against Pelham now puts the Bears in a semifinal contest at No. 3 Ursuline today (see below schedule).
