No. 7 Brewster's Shannon Sommer (3 for 4) drove in winning pitcher Alycia Feeney from the third base on the first pitch to right center field in the bottom of the seventh to win it for the Bears in their 1-0 victory against visiting No. 10 Hendrick Hudson on Saturday in the opening round of the Section 1 Class A Tournament, as per Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
Feeney allowed six hits and a walk. She struck out four to earn the victory.
