Felony DWI for Carmel Woman

Not only does she have a previous conviction but also she had a child in the car, police said.

Caitlin M. Michell, 25, is due in court in Hyde Park to answer a charge under Landra’s Law.

Troopers were dispatched to the Hyde Park Recreational Park on Creek Road for an EMS call on June 7. Interviewing a driver, they said they saw signs that she was impaired by drugs.

A State Police Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Michell at the Rhinebeck barracks. Michell was charged with Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs due to a previous DWI related conviction in 2013 and for having a child passenger under the age of 16.

Michell, a Carmel resident, was arraigned before the Town of Hyde Park Court and released. She is due to re-appear before the Town of Hyde Park Court on June 25.
