3rd DWI Charge in 8 Years for Southeast Woman

Police stopped her in Brewster June 14.

Roseanne Lockwood-Caporale, 58, faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony.

State troopers responded to North Main Street in the Village of Brewster June 14 to assist the village police with a vehicle and traffic stop. While they conducted an interview of the driver, Lockwood-Caporale, they observed clues that indicated she was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

The Southeast resident was charged with Felony DWI when investigation revealed that she was convicted of DWI two times within the last 10 years. One conviction occurred in August of 2006 and the second conviction was in May of 2007, police said.

Lockwood-Caporale is scheduled to appear in the Village of Brewster Court at a later date.
