Fog, Black Ice: NWS Special Weather Statement for Putnam, Rockland, Northern Westchester

SOUTHEAST, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Putnam County.

Light winds and abundant moisture at the surface has resulted in the formation of fog. These conditions are expected to persist overnight with temperatures forecast to drop to or below the freezing mark. This will create areas of black ice on any untreated wet surfaces. Please exercise caution if traveling tonight.
