Former Brewster Resident Dies at 69

Adele J. Tuccillo of Danbury, CT, previously of Brewster, died Monday at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was 69.

Tuccillo was born Feb. 16, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of the late Salvatore and Frances (Vasami) Buzzurro. She graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School in Mt. Vernon, and on Oct. 17, 1964, married James Tuccillo. Tuccillo died Feb. 7, 2004. They lived in Brewster for 26 years before moving to Danbury in 2002. Mrs. Tuccillo was an administrative assistant with the for more than 20 years. 

Tuccillo is survived by her son James of Bethel, CT, and her daughter Christine Craft of Brewster; a brother John Buzzurro of Fishkill, and a sister Joanne Burbank of South Salem; and four grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Beecher Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at in Brewster. Interment will follow at The Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle.
