Freezing Rain Advisory Kicks off Work Week Weather in Putnam

The Tuesday morning commute may be slippery.

BREWSTER, NY — We'll start off the work week with winter-y conditions that could cause some problems during Tuesday's morning commute; but then we move into a January thaw.

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for Tuesday morning.

After the remnant of the ice storm that bedeviled the Midwest this weekend passes through, we'll see warmer temps in the Hudson Valley.

“For many areas, this warm-up will be similar to the January thaw that happened last week,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson said. “The main difference is that this warm-up could last almost a week instead of a couple of days.”
