Frost Advisory for Monday and Tuesday: Work Week Weather in Southeast

Here's what to expect around Brewster and Southeast.

BREWSTER, NY — The frost may not be on the pumpkin right this minute, but sounds as if it will be overnight Monday and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued two notices for Putnam County:

"It is autumn now after all… so we shouldn’t be surprised by the fall-like temperatures," says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

Monday and Friday nights will see the lowest temperatures of this mostly sunny work week. Here is the five-day forecast from the National Weather Service for Putnam County:

Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Clear. Patchy frost after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s. North winds around 5 mph in the evening...becoming light and variable.

Tuesday
Sunny. Areas of frost in the morning. Highs in the lower 60s. North winds around 5 mph...becoming east in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.

Wednesday
Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. South winds around 5 mph.
