Girl Scout Seeks Putnam Veterans for Interview Project

Help Julia Morini create an oral history project with Putnam County veterans for her Gold Award.

Putnam resident Julia Morini is seeking help as she works on her Girl Scout Gold Award.

A Brewster High School student, Morini spent her summer interning in the Putnam County Office for Veterans Affairs.

For her project, Morini will be interviewing local veterans and recording their stories. When she has collected enough interviews, she will make two DVDs, one to be shared throughout the Putnam Library System and the other to be kept as an historical record at Brewster High School.

“ I could also possibly make a Youtube channel to include these interviews so that they can be accessible by everyone,” the 17-year-old Southeast resident said.

If you are a veteran or know one, please put them in touch with Morini at jlynnmorini22@gmail.com or 845-279-6132. The name of her project is Veterans Voices.
