Hazardous Weather For AM Commute In Putnam: NWS

Snow has melted and is expected to refreeze tonight across Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. This will cause slippery conditions on untreated surfaces tonight into Monday morning.

Also, a weak cold front will move into the region from the west overnight. This will bring clouds back into the Hudson Valley early Monday morning with the chance of snow showers.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

Black ice is expected tonight into Monday morning as any standing water and slush refreezes.

Then, a mix of rain and snow is expected late Monday, with mainly snow inland, the NWS predicts. After that, temperatures are expected to drop.
