Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Putnam County
This won't be the storm of the century but the National Weather Service says to expect a slippery commute Friday morning around Brewster.

The National Weather Service has issued a special statement for Putnam County.
Light snow develops tonight, with a snow accumulation of around 1 inch expected. This will impact the morning commute late tonight into early Friday morning.
All in all this is definitely not a significant snowstorm. But this time areas closest to the coast will see the most snow, and areas inland will see the least amount. Forecasters predict that south of I-287 the accumulation could reach 2 inches, so if you're traveling south like most of the county's commuters, expect to see more white stuff.
"A slick Friday morning commute is possible, especially as you go further south in the valley," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

It'll stay on the ground, too, as temps will stay frigid through the weekend due to the Arctic air mass that has moved in across the country.
