Hazardous Weather Outlook Kicks Off Brewster's Weekend
A couple of inches of sleet and ice could accumulate around Southeast before a turnaround on Sunday

SOUTHEAST, NY — The wintry mix in this current storm has led the National Weather Service to issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Putnam, northern Westchester, Orange, and Rockland counties.
But there is some good news for Friday: the snow line is well to the north of us.
"Greene and Columbia counties are the only locations where the mid levels look likely to support wet snow through the day… but there, surface temperatures will be a problem near the river," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

But with highs staying mired in the 30s, it certainly won't feel like spring — and even the lower Hudson Valley could see some sleet overnight.
Also, the slow-moving storm will last through Saturday.
