Heat Advisory Extended: Brewster's Work Week Weather
Here's what to expect when for the rest of the first week in September around Southeast.

BREWSTER, NY — Heat and humidity will continue to wilt the start of September. Heat indexes could again near 99 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, when showers and thunderstorms are possible.
The Heat Advisories have been extended till 8 p.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service says:
Extreme heat can cause illness and death among at-risk population who cannot stay cool. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
The first time we'll see relief will be Thursday when a cold front comes in.

"But for the next 48 hours… it’s summer in September," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Make sure you’re planned accordingly."
And we're calling it a cold front because that's what forecasters call it. In reality, temps will be around 80 degrees.

Still, while that's hot, it's 15 degrees cooler than the past week, right about normal for the first week in September.
