Brewster-based High-Tech Firm Saves Skyscrapers Energy, $$

Selex ES and Columbia University teamed up to create a program that lets skyscrapers tailor the use of heat, light, power and air-conditioning based on who's in the building and what they're doing.

The cutting-edge technology is being introduced this week at IBCon 2013, the "intelligent building" conference in Orlando, FL.

The IT firm worked from its Brewster location on Sutton Place with the university; they partnered with with an NYC building management firm, Rudin Management, to test the energy-saving Di-BOSS System.
