Police said McIntyre was traveling northbound on I-684 when she lost control of her vehicle, struck a guiderail, veered across all lanes of travel, and hit another vehicle operated by Michael T. Keller, 65, of New Milford, Connecticut.

Both vehicles then left the roadway, struck the middle median, overturned and came to a rest in the center embankment of the highway, police said.

Keller died at the scene, while McIntyre was transported to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries, according to state police.
