HV Nor'Easter: 26K Customers Lose Power
Heavy, wet snow or rain mixed with snow continues to fall in the interior of the Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As heavy, wet snow or a wintry mix continues to fall in the region, utility companies are reporting a growing number of power outages.
As of 6:55 a.m.:
- CenHud: 2o,645 customers out, most in Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Greene, Putnam counties
- NYSEG: 6,049, most in Delaware and Saratoga counties. 331 in Putnam County
- O&R: 229 in Orange County
- Con Ed: 56 in northern Westchester County
If you experience a power outage, don’t assume that your utility company automatically knows about it. Report it.

For safety’s sake, do not touch or approach any downed wire. Assume it is energized and dangerous. Depending on the situation, you may also consider calling your local police to divert traffic from the downed wire’s location until a utility crew arrives.
