'Improper' BHS Student-Staffer Relationship Under Investigation
There's a 24-hour hotline for anyone who has information about it.

BREWSTER, NY â Brewster school district officials have asked the Putnam Sheriff's Office to help investigate an allegation of an improper relationship between a Brewster High School student and a staffer. Superintendent Valerie Henning-Piedmonte said in a statement that district officials were informed about it Oct. 12.
"Student safety is of paramount importance and we find these allegations deeply troubling," she said in a notice to parents on the district website. "The administration immediately contacted law enforcement, which began an investigation. At this time, the matter is still being investigated by law enforcement."

The staff member will not have any contact with students while the investigation is pending, she said.
District officials have also arranged for school counselors to be available to support students should the
need arise.
