A K9 Depends On His Officer For Support

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Putnam Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Irwin gets quite a hug from his canine partner Kato. Or is it just that the K9 wanted a better view out the windshield?

Kato is 4 years old and he and Irwin have been working together for two. A beautiful (and big) German shepherd, the police dog is named in loving honor and memory of late Senior Investigator Mark Gilmore’s favorite K9.
