Ketamine, Cash, Gun Seized In Raid At Suspected Drug Lab In Putnam County Home: Police
An investigation was launched after the Putnam County Sheriff's Office received a lead from Homeland Security.
CARMEL, NY β A Carmel man has been arrested on weapons and drugs charges following an operation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and federal agents.
Sheriff Brian Hess announced the arrest of 29-year-old Joseph M. Kocinsky, of Carmel. The investigation was launched after the Sheriff's Office received a lead from Homeland Security Investigations.
On Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) executed a search warrant at a Putnam County home. They were assisted by the Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Unit, Conditions Unit, and the Carmel Police Department.

During the search, investigators seized ketamine, hundreds of vials of anabolic steroids, and approximately $15,000 in cash. An assault-style weapon was also found, according to law enforcement. Investigators also report discovering materials that were consistent with the operation of a steroid production laboratory.
Kocinsky was taken into custody. He was charged with felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with felony drug possession charges.

Kocinsky was arraigned in the Town of Carmel Court. He was later released on his own recognizance.
