KENT, NY — If you are already sick of holiday cheer, we have the perfect December event to help tone down the merriment just a little.

Barry Pirro and the Kent Library will explore Krampus and other Yuletide horrors just in time to take your mind off the settling dread of Christmas shopping. We know all about Santa, but the mysteries of Krampus remain slightly more elusive (for good reason). In some European countries, this hybrid creature was thought of as a companion to Santa, according to Pirro. But where Santa gives out gifts to good children, Krampus has much more sinister plans for the rotten kids.

You can learn more about Yuletide horrors with paranormal expert Barry Pirro on Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
