Left Lanes Closed on I-84 at Night Starting Sunday

Work will take place between 8PM and 5AM through Sept. 17

Beginning Sunday through Sept. 17, left lane closures on both eastbound and westbound Interstate 84 in New York are anticipated between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., so crews can perform construction activities, weather permitting.

On eastbound I-84, a left lane closure is expected between the Connecticut state line and Exit 21 (Route 121) on Aug. 30.

On westbound I-84, a left lane closure is expected between Exit 19 (Route 312) and the Connecticut state line beginning Sunday, through Sept. 17. (No lane closures will occur on the Labor Day Holiday weekend.)

Motorists should expect delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
