Life in Brewster In 1957: Reminiscing, Prepping for 'Shindig'
Former and current residents met to reminisce and share memories of Brewster in 1957 as the Chamber commemorates its 60th anniversary.

BREWSTER, NY — Former and current residents met recently to reminisce and share memories of Brewster Life in 1957. It was part of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce's preparation for its 60th anniversary commemoration.
The Chamber will hold a big party Aug. 6 at Wells Park with a 1957 themed “Shindig.” As the Chamber was established in 1957, that will be the theme for the celebration with a vintage car show, music of the era with games for all.
The recent meeting shared photos and a 1957 Brewster High School yearbook. The Chamber will be meeting at 1 p.m. June 15 at 7 Stars Diner on Route 22 to uncover historical facts about business life in Brewster 60 years ago. Join them if you were:
