Litchfield Hills Road Race Brings Full Circle Moment to Brandywine
More than 1,300 runners laced up their running sneakers for the 40th Annual Litchfield Hills Road Race (LHRR) this past Sunday, June 12th.
(Litchfield, Conn.) What a day for a race indeed! More than 1,300 runners laced up their running sneakers for the 40th Annual Litchfield Hills Road Race (LHRR) this past Sunday, June 12th. Brandywine Living of Litchfield was proud to sponsor the LHRR event and also formed Team Brandywine with several staff members participating this year.
Brandywine residents gathered with a BBQ to support the runners and cheered them on with tambourines and cowbells. Residents held up handmade signs to motivate our staff running in the sea of runners! They were so honored to have staff run on their behalf.
"I am not a runner but I dedicated this race to all of our residents at Brandywine" said Kelly Graney, director of housekeeping at Brandywine Living of Litchfield. "Seeing their smiling faces cheer me on as I ran past made it all worthwhile!"
