Longtime Brewster Woman Dies

Brewster resident Susan A. Neumann, age 63, died Sunday in New Haven, CT.

Neumann was born Feb. 7, 1949 in the Bronx, to Anthony and Florence (Sabo) Palumbo. She graduated from and served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1971.

Neumann in survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Neumann of New Fairfield, CT, and Jennifer (husband Daniel) Hendrie of Pawling, NY; a brother, Joseph H. ‘Chick’ Palumbo and his wife Patricia of Brookfield, CT; two sisters: Marie G. Palumbo and Bonie (husband Michael) Bonilla, both of Brewster. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Olivia Grace Doherty. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Anthony J. Palumbo in 1993 and Fredrick C. Palumbo in 2008, as well as a sister: Carol Palumbo in 2001.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at . Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home (1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster) from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
