Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Mahopac man on numerous narcotics sale and possession charges.
In January, a deputy sheriff assigned to the Sheriffβs Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit got a lead that a Mahopac resident was selling narcotics from his home on a regular basis. The deputy was able to make contact with the man and arrange on several occasions to purchase heroin at the home, which is located in the Lake Ossi area of Mahopac.
During the course of the investigation, the deputy applied for and received a search warrant for the residence. On February 10, members of the NEU executed the search warrant and arrested Kyle Novotny, 21, of 44 High Lane.
