Highland Falls Man With Legal Handgun Accused In Road Rage Incident
It happened Wednesday afternoon in Mahopac, police said.
CARMEL, NY — A Highland Falls resident who police say brandished a handgun during a road rage incident on Route 6N faces a charge of second-degree menacing in Carmel town court.
Carmel police said they received a 911 call at 1 p.m. Wednesday reporting a man had just brandished a handgun at a road rage incident. 911 reported the man was in a vehicle headed into Yorktown.
Carmel alerted Yorktown police of the vehicle possibly heading into their jurisdiction. YPD intercepted the vehicle near Route 6 and Mill Street and conducted a traffic stop.

They told Carmel police they concluded the man was involved in a road rage incident in Mahopac and as a result of the altercation brandished a legally owned handgun.
The man was identified as Adolfo F. Arias, 60, of Highland Falls, New York.

Arias was transported to Carmel police headquarters for processing and charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and released upon his own recognizance, pending a future court date of May 19.
