The National Weather Service says there’s a slight possibility of snow Sunday afternoon and evening and on Jan. 18 in Putnam County.

Little or no accumulation, that’s a good thing if you’re going to volunteer work, events or services. But it’s going to be brisk -- highs won’t get out of the 20s -- and blustery, with gusty winds 20-25 mph.

“We have all major forecast models in alliance on the fact that a low pressure system will be along the East coast by the end of next week into the weekend. All models agree on the timing and all models agree on a significant snowfall in the Northeast. The reason we need to remain grounded is the detail of the strength and the exact track.”
