Memorial for William Farr

G. William ‘Bill’ Farr, a 35-year resident of Brewster, NY, died peacefully on Monday July 3rd. He was 67 years old.

Bill was born on October 6, 1949 in Rockville Center, NY, son to the late George and Sarah (Secrist) Farr. He graduated from Garden City High School and continued his education at Bridgeport University graduating in 1971.

Mr. Farr married the love of his life Linda S. Daly on September 20, 1980 in New City, NY. Together they moved to Brewster, NY in 1982.

Bill was an accountant for IBM for 37 years before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed gardening and maintaining a perfect yard. Golfing was also a great passion of his. Bill enjoyed the peacefulness of their vacation home in Mattituck, NY. His greatest passion in life was his grandson, he never missed an event and was always photographing memories.

Mr. Farr is not only survived by his loving wife of almost 37 years Linda, but his children; Brian W. Farr and Lauren E. Farr both of Brewster, NY, his grandson Jack Farr, his sisters; Susan (Jim) Bergeron of Poughkeepsie, NY and Leslie (Roger) Breeze of Bolton, MA and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday July 13, 2017 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 11am-1pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bill may be made to St. Jude’s Children research hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
