New Bail 5X Higher for Mahopac Woman Accused of Selling Drugs
She had posted bail after an August arrest, and didn't appear on her court date.

PUTNAM, NY — County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Mahopac woman who is accused of bail-jumping.
In August of 2016, members of the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit arrested Kerry A. Massi, 53, and charged her with the possession and sale of the prescription medication oxycodone. She was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail. She was later released after posting the bail amount.
Then on Nov. 14 Massi failed to appear in the Town of Carmel Justice Court as required by the conditions of her bail agreement. A warrant of arrest was issued for Bail Jumping in the First Degree by Town of Carmel Justice Joseph Spofford directing that the defendant be arrested and brought before the court to answer the previous charges as well as the new offense.
