NYSEG Outage Reports Rise: Bomb Cyclone In Hudson Valley
They're chiefly in Carmel, Patterson, Somers and Southeast
UPDATE, 3:40 p.m. â NYSEG reports a total of 1,577 customers without power in Putnam County. Outages in Southeast were repaired.
Current outages include 972 customers in Carmel, 307 in Putnam Valley and 275 in Kent.
SOUTHEAST, NY â NYSEG reports scattered power outages around Putnam County and northern Westchester as of 1:40 p.m. Thursday. The total is 510.

The culprit is winter Storm Grayson, the "bomb cyclone" that is spreading snow from Florida to Maine. It's one of two storms hitting New York state Jan. 4 â the other is bringing blizzard conditions to Buffalo and up to 10 inches in the North Country.
