Obituary: Resident of Nearly 2 Decades Dies

Arthur Donald Richards, of Brewster, died Sunday in Poughkeepsie at the age of 74.

Mr. Richards was born Oct. 13, 1937 in Queens, son of the late Arthur and Catherine (Weber) Richards. He graduated from Hastings High School, then served with the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.

Mr. Richards lived in Yorktown Heights before moving to Brewster 18 years ago. He was self-employed, owning a food distribution route for 10 years before retiring in 1992.

Mr. Richards is survived by daughter Donna Milazzo and son-in-law Vinny, of Brewster; brother Bernard Richards of Dover Plains; and three grandchildren: Anthony, Nicholas and Marissa.

A prayer service will be held at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday at Beecher Funeral Home (located on Putnam Avenue in Brewster, (845)-279-3615). The wake will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Internment will be private.
