Obituary: Former Community Member Dies at 54

Gary N. Moore of Hyde Park, formerly of Brewster, died Saturday in Poughkeepsie at the age of 54.

Mr. Moore was born May 24, 1958 in Mt. Kisco, son of Anna (Evans) Ward of Patterson and the late Norman Moore. He attended then worked in construction.

Mr. Moore is survived by his two children, Kimberly Ermo and Michael Moore, both of Pleasant Valley; his brothers, Robert Ward and Richard Ward, both of Wingdale and Frederick Moore of Golden, CO; his sisters, Diana Moore of Yonkers, Karen Vero of Golden, CO and Thayel McGhee of Millerton; four grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Aaron and Michael Jr.; his mother's husband, Richard Ward; his girlfriend Kathleen Scollan of Hyde Park; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Edward Moore.

A funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Beecher Funeral Home (located on Putnam Avenue in Brewster, (845)-279-3615). Interment will follow in Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster. The wake will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, also at Beecher Funeral Home.
