Old Glory to Fly Through July 4 at Lake Gleneida

There's still time to sponsor one of the 240 flags on display.

Due to overwhelming popularity and support, the flags lining Lake Gleneida, known as the Row of Honor, will continue to fly until July 4th this year instead of Flag Day, on June 14.

These 240 flags are flown to represent the 240 years since the United States of America was established.

“The Row of Honor is a beautiful way to show gratitude to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety and freedom,” said Putnam County Executive, MaryEllen Odell in a press release. “This biannual tradition means so much to both veterans who have risked their lives for their country, and the families who have lost their loved ones.”
