The National High School Coaches Association named Brewster senior wrestler Mike Parise a 2012 NHSCA High School Academic All-American.

He placed fifth in the state wrestling championships his sophomore year representing Brewster High School, coached by Tom Looby.
Parise compiled a senior record of 51-4 and a career record of 169-25.
He earned a 1,400 SAT score and carried a 3.7 GPA.
Parise will attend the University of Maryland, where he will try to walk onto the Division I wrestling team.
Sectional Seedings
The seedings for the upcoming Section 1 baseball tournaments were announced according to MSG Varsity.
No. 23 Brewster will travel today to play No. 10 Lakeland in the out-bracket round of the Class A tournament at 4:30 p.m.
