Patterson Man Due in Southeast Court to Answer DWI Charge
He was stopped for traffic violations Nov. 1.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith announces the recent arrest of a Patterson man on a charge of DWI.
On November 1, 2014 at 2:55 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Frederick Mark stopped a motorist who had committed traffic violations on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Thomas E. Alpi, 22, of 506 Covington Green Lane, Patterson was intoxicated. The deputy arrested Mr. Alpi and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated and with Driving While Ability Impaired By Drugs, misdemeanors, after the man failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
