Pets and Newborns: Class at Putnam Hospital
Register for the May 30 session for tips on making baby's arrival a safe and happy occasion for household pets
The Birthing Center at Putnam Hospital Center is hosting a “Pets and the Newborn” class at 10 a.m.Saturday, May 30 in the Birthing Center Conference Room, 670 Stoneleigh Ave.
The session covers tips on getting your dog or cat prepared for the baby’s arrival by planning, setting up a routine and establishing some rules. By planning ahead, pets won’t associate the changes with the new baby and he/she will not feel neglected and act out.
Expectant parents and grandparents should register for the class approximately three months before the due date.
