Pleasantville Resident Caught up in Putnam Sheriff's Warrant Sweep
In all, 11 people were arrested.
Carmel, NY – Sheriff Donald B. Smith announces the arrests of 11 people during a “warrant sweep” conducted by his department on June 23.
The purpose of the sweep was to apprehend numerous individuals wanted by the PCSD pursuant to outstanding arrest warrants issued by local justice courts on a variety of criminal charges, police said.
Two were wanted by other agencies. All were arraigned by Town of Kent Justice Kevin Douchkoff on behalf of the respective courts, except where indicated.

The defendants and the particulars are as follows:
- Ronald J. Brown, 32, of 19 Alan Drive, Mahopac, for a charge of Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, a misdemeanor. Committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility (PCCF) in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond pending an appearance in the Town of Kent Justice Court on July 26 at 10 a.m.
- Fortune Macri, 58, of 38 Hobby Street, Pleasantville, New York, for a charge of Theft of Services, a misdemeanor. Scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on July 21 at 3 p.m.
- Louis DiPippo, Jr., 61, of 3226 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, New York, for a charge of Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. Committed to the PCCF in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond pending an appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on July 5 at 3 p.m.
- Maura Purtill, 47, of 889 Route 311, Patterson, for a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Released in her own recognizance pending an appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on July 5 at 3 p.m.
- Nicole Tharas, 36, of 25 Warwick Road, Kent, for a charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor. Released in her own recognizance pending an appearance in the Town of Kent Justice Court on July 26 at 10 a.m.
- Adam Wilson, 40, of 374 Bullet Hole Road, Patterson, for a charge of Unlawful Imprisonment, a misdemeanor. Committed to the PCCF in lieu of $400 cash bail pending a future appearance in the Town of Patterson Justice Court.
- Jessica Price, 45, of 105 Cornwall Meadows, Patterson, for a charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor. Arraigned before Town of Patterson Justice Anthony Mole and released in her own recognizance pending an appearance in the Town of Patterson Justice Court on June 30.
- William Weber, 22, of 68 West Main Street, Pawling, New York, for a charge of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation. Released in his own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court.
- Devaughan Cleveland, 22, of 14 Rochambeau Road, Philipstown, for a charge of Disorderly Conduct, a violation. Arraigned before Town of Philipstown Justice Alan Steiner and released in his own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Town of Philipstown Justice Court.
- Joseph Jamieson, 31, of 320 Hortontown Road, Kent, was arrested in Lake Carmel for a warrant issued by the City of Poughkeepsie Court on a charge of False Personation, a misdemeanor. Turned over to the custody of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
- Christian Larkin, 41, of 320 Hortontown Road, Kent, for a warrant issued by the Town of Carmel Justice Court on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Turned over to the custody of the Town of Carmel Police Department.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendants could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
