Police: 68-year-old Accused of Patient Sex Abuse at Work
He was arraigned in Southeast Town Court.

The New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Brewster and the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office report the arrest of Joseph J. Faraone of Hopewell Junction on Sept. 17 for one count of Criminal Sexual Act 2nd Degree and one count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, both Class D Felonies.
Investigators allege that Faraone, an employee of a local non-for-profit human service organization, had sexual contact with a 50-year-old female patient who was unable to consent.
Faraone, 68, was arraigned before Town of Southeast Justice Richard Vercollone who sent him to the Putnam County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Sept. 23.
