SOUTHEAST, NY â More than a thousand customers are out of power in Putnam County as high winds continue to whistle through the region, playing havoc with power lines.
Most of the 1,368 customers listed as without power in Putnam County are in Patterson, Brewster and Carmel, according to NYSEG.
As of 11:45 a.m., the utility company was still assessing the damage and no power restoration estimates were given on its website.
