Putnam County Government: Carl Gutowski, Flutist, And Ana Glig, Pianist, Perform World Premiere, November 14, At Chapel Restoration

Carl Gutowski, flute, and Ana Glig, piano, will perform at The Chapel Restoration, Sunday, November 14, at 4 p.m. Their program, American Mosaics, features music of American composers over the last three centuries. They will play works by William Grant Still, Richard Wilson, Katherine Hoover, Wilhelmina Esary, Edward MacDowell and Gary Schocker. It also features the world premiere of Debra Kaye’s Suite for Flute and Piano. The concert is free though contributions are suggested and greatly appreciated. Proof of vaccination and masks are required.

Flutist Carl Gutowski has been performing as a soloist and chamber musician for 35 years. He began playing in the 5th grade in a public school band program. Based in New York’s Hudson Valley and Cape Cod, he has been heard on several American public radio stations. Recent performances have included recitals at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center.
Ana Glig is an award-winning concert pianist praised for her ability to “capture hearts” by Musical America. Recipient of the Alfred Cortot prize at the Tbilisi International Piano Competition for the best interpretation of romantic music, Glig has performed in Europe as well as the United States in solo and chamber settings.

The Chapel is also very happy to announce that it will resume its Sunday Music Series of afternoon concerts each month from April through November. This popular Series, begun in 2000, brings highly acclaimed musicians to Cold Spring.
The Chapel Restoration, 45 Market Street, Cold Spring, is across from Metro-North Train Station, parking is free on Sundays.
