PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — A 72-year-old veteran of the U.S. Marines was found dead after a fire in the middle of the night Monday destroyed his home. Louis Weber Jr. lived at the Post Road Mobile Home Park on Route 9 in Philipstown.
The North Highlands Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Cold Spring, Fishkill and Garrison, according to the Putnam Sheriff's Office. The Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team were at the scene.
Weber was a financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial before retirement.

He is survived by his children, Courtney Bozsik and her husband Frank Bozsik Jr of Wappingers Falls and Louis J. Weber III of Cold Spring; siblings Robert Weber, William (Gigi) Weber, and Dolores (Mario) DiFiore; and his grandchildren Kyler, Noah and Frankie.
