Putnam County Moms for Liberty held a food drive this past weekend to benefit the Patterson Community Church Pantry in Patterson, New York. The food drive was held throughout the month with food donation boxes left at businesses across Putnam County. It culminated with the food drive on Saturday May 21st outside of Rebel Gym in Mahopac.

The Patterson Community Church Pantry serves a growing number of families and has seen their inventory running low these past few weeks. Moms for Liberty organized this food drive to help bring the pantry’s supplies back up. Altogether, almost $2,000 in groceries were donated. The event attracted the attention of New York State Gubernatorial Candidate Rob Astorino who made a surprise stop at the food drive. Rob Astorino stopped in to talk with the community during a busy day of campaigning in Putnam County.
