Putnam Domestic Dispute: Charges For Both, Jail Time For One
A Putnam Valley couple fought in the presence of a child, state police said.

PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — Both sides of a domestic dispute face charges in Putnam Valley. One was sent to the Putnam County Jail.
New York State Police arrested Derek G. Sutter, 35, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Violating and Order of Protection, both class A misdemeanors; and Candice L. Sutter, 35, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, both class A misdemeanors.
Troopers were dispatched to Argyle Street in Putnam Valley at 10:37 a.m. Jan. 15 for a domestic dispute. Investigation found Derek and Candice Sutter engaged in a physical domestic in the presence of a child.

To be there, Derek Sutter violated a duly served order of protection.
Derek and Candice Sutter were arraigned before the town of Putnam Valley Court. Candice Sutter was released on her own recognizance with a return date of Jan. 18, 2018. Derek Sutter was sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond with a return date of Jan. 23.
