Putnam Hospital Center to Host Heart Healthy Luncheon

Medical experts at Putnam Hospital Center will lead a community discussion on cardiovascular disease during the luncheon on February 22.

From Health Quest: Medical experts at Putnam Hospital Center will lead a community discussion on cardiovascular disease focusing on prevention, detection and treatment during a Heart Healthy Lunch and Learn event.

The luncheon is from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the hospital’s Michael T. Weber Conference Rooms, 670 Stoneleigh Ave. Seating is limited to 40 people.

Enjoy a complimentary, wholesome lunch while hearing from Vice President of Medical Affairs and cardiologist Dr. Lawrence Schek and Clinical Nutrition Supervisor Indrani Dhar on diet and exercise, reducing stress and risk factors and forming healthy habits.

“Help us to help you take care of the most important muscle in your body,” Schek said.

Dhar will discuss nutrition, including how the lunch offered is beneficial to the heart.
